Ultrinity is a political campaign operations platform that provides voter mapping, canvassing route management, and volunteer coordination tools. This privacy policy describes how Ultrinity collects, uses, and protects information through its mobile and web applications.

Information We Collect

Voter File Data

The app displays publicly available voter registration data obtained from the Ohio Secretary of State. This data includes:

• Voter names, addresses, and registration details
• Voting history (which elections a voter participated in, not how they voted)
• Party affiliation and precinct assignment
• Congressional, state, and local district assignments

This data is public record under Ohio law (ORC 3503.27) and is not collected by us — it is provided by the State of Ohio to registered political organizations.

Volunteer Location Data

When volunteers use the mobile app for canvassing routes, we collect:

• GPS location — used to show the volunteer's position on the map relative to their assigned canvassing route. Location tracking is only active while the volunteer is using the canvassing feature.
• Route tracking — GPS breadcrumb trail recorded during canvassing sessions for route verification and optimization.

Location data is collected only with the volunteer's explicit permission via the device's location permission prompt. Volunteers can revoke location access at any time through their device settings.

Canvassing Activity Data

When volunteers visit households on their assigned routes, the app records:

• Visit outcomes (e.g., "visited", "not home")
• Questionnaire responses collected at the door
• Timestamps of visits

Account Information

User accounts are managed through Keycloak authentication. We store:

• Username and email address
• Role assignment (admin, volunteer)

How We Use Information

• Voter data — displayed on maps and in search tools to support campaign outreach planning. We do not modify, sell, or redistribute voter file data.
• Location data — used solely to display volunteer position on the canvassing map and to record route history for campaign coordinators.
• Canvassing data — used by campaign administrators to track canvassing progress and analyze outreach effectiveness.

Data Storage and Security

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption in transit).
• Voter data and canvassing records are stored on secured servers.
• Access to the application requires authentication. Only authorized campaign staff and volunteers can access the system.
• The mobile app stores minimal data locally (cached route data and pending offline actions) which is synced to the server when connectivity is restored.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. Data is accessible only to:

• Authorized campaign administrators
• Assigned volunteers (limited to their own route data)

Data Retention

Voter file data is retained for the duration of the campaign cycle and updated when new voter files are provided by the State of Ohio. Canvassing activity data is retained for campaign reporting purposes. Users may request deletion of their account and associated activity data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your Rights

You may:

• Request access to your personal data stored in the system
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings
• Opt out of canvassing route tracking by not using the mobile app's tracking feature

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
